Yes I agree that would be very cool.
Note that it's also way more complex than hudson which is static.
Right now upgrading xwiki is usually as simple as replacing your WAR.
That's the easy part. The hard part is updating the XAR.
Re upgrade one thing I've been wanting to do for a long time is move
the config files out of the WAR.
Re the XAR upgrade this is the upcoming Extension Manager but it'll be
a while till we get it done:
