I have been experimenting with XWiki and am impressed so far.

One question: editing by section ("sectional
editing" in xwiki.cfg,
activated by setting xwiki.section.edit=1 there) does not appear to work
with a page written in XWiki syntax 2.0 whilst it does work in XWiki
syntax 1.0.
(Version: XWiki Enterprise 1.8.17790)
Is this by design?
not quite, there is an open issue about it:
