Yes, it should be OK. The strange thing is that it used to work
(right?). Did you change anything in the tomcat settings? Did you change
the xwiki.cfg file?
Check that the file does not contain any non-ascii characters. You could
try to use the default xwiki.cfg and see if that works, then integrate
your changes back, and see when it starts failing.
By looking at the code I did not find a prefix added
before.
