I did a little test with mac os x lion, finder, go to

I use Max OSX lion and it works fine for me.
The URL is http://localhost:8080/xwiki/webdav/
But how do I Identify myself and what rights are
exposed, I assume the same rights the user has on the Wiki?

XWiki stores attachment where you've defined it. By default it's in the database
(any DB supported by Hibernate, doesn't have to be MySQL).
