You could use the following script:

In addition we support natively the mediawiki syntax in XE 1.8,
including automatic translation to the xwiki 2.0 syntax.

This is still quite new and has some limitations but I'd be happy to
work with you to improve it. You could try it and raise jira issues if
you find issues (I know link handling needs work for example) and I'll
take care of them.
