Hi Brain,
Thanks for your help. It works. The problem is that I would like to
bypass the login screen, i.e. the user going to the space Web home url
just to be able to see the pages in that space, without being asked to
login (but s/he should not have the right to edit). I modified the skin
not to show the login/register buttons but then the user seems to have
all rights and is allowed to edit as well ...
Any thoughts in this direction?

It's simple; XWiki Preferences has an option called "Always
authenticate
on edit"; set it to "yes".

I just installed XWiki and created a space with pages that I
