I haven't played with the wysiwyg editor in recent xwiki versions,
but I know the editor it is based on, TinyMCE, allows one to
cutnpaste from a word doc, and it sanitizes the html. Maybe that on
top of the XWiki/TinyMCE integration will translate into xwiki syntax?

I quickly gave up any hope of using Word's HTML output after one
look at it, which I have little doubt is exactly what they wanted.
And, of course, thanks for the link. We don't yet have OO.o here,
but this is yet another reason to consider requesting permission
from the corporate watchdogs to get it. I do have OO.o 1.1 on
MacOSX at home, but I'm told that 2.0 will be a long time coming to
the Mac...
