Hi Adjin,
You probably want to do that the non obstrusive way. You can use
prototype's Element.observe for this. See
http://www.prototypejs.org/api/element/observe
$('elementid').observe('change', yourFunction);
or
$$('cssLocator')[x].observe('change', yourFunction);
