I have also checked in /usr/lib/xwiki/skins and the only directory in there is "flamingo". Though I am pretty sure at some point it was changed so that you didn't have to duplicate the folder, just had to create a "skin" document (not sure document is the right word, but hopefully you know what I mean). I've tried a search for "CDCSkin" on the server and it doesn't appear to exist on the filesystem. Please let me know if you need any other info and thanks again for your help. Skin that were not indicated any parent skin used to inherit directly from /templates/, maybe that's you issue.
