Forget about the standalone release and go straight to XE. The proposed

You will some instructions for installing XWiki running on Tomcat
connecting to MySQL. Tomcat and MySQL installations are out of the scope
of this manual. But both installers do well in Windows, thus I don't
thing this could be a problem (usually :-)
