"Could not create a DBCP pool. There is an error in the hibernate configuration file, please review it." This means that it was unable to connect to the database. It might mean there actually in a mistake in the hibernate config file but if you checked over that carefully then it's more likely that it's happening because the database is refusing the supplied username and password. Make suer you can log in to the database with the username and password you have in the hibernate config file. My machines were VM's so I took snapshots changed IP updated dns and brought them online, sound simple.
