Here's a better way to achieve what you want in 2.0 syntax:

**Contents**
{{toc depth="3" /}}
)))
or:
{{box cssClass="floatinginfobox" title="**Contents**"}}{{toc
start="2"
depth="3"/}}{{/box}}

PS: TOC macro must standalone, i.e. it needs 2 NLs before it and 2 NLs
after it.
