I am new to XWiki and probably won't have a lot of time, but I am a

Yes we have performance issues at the moment. It's probably
caused by one or several wikis misbehaving. Someone needs to find time to investigate it.
If anyone is interested in helping out let us know, this farm is managed by the
community.
