[xwiki-users] Installation of Menu Application - xwiki-users@xwiki.org

Hi Ritchi, We upgraded xwiki.org yesterday and we had a few issues. The download link should be fine now but you should install the menu application with the Extension Manager. If you have problems finding the menu application in the "Add extensions" administration section then use the advanced search (for now, as we're going to fix the simple extension search ASAP): Extension ID: org.xwiki.platform:xwiki-platform-menu-ui Version: 5.1 Thanks for reporting the problem and sorry for the inconvenience, Marius P.S.: Any feedback about the menu application is welcomed! Thank you for the advices. Now I could install the menu application without problems and every thing works well. The menu is installed within a right pane and the first impression is very promising. But I am missing one feature: I would like to be able to place one entry for a certain document in the menu and for all child documents of the document child entries should appear automaticaly under that entry of this top document in the menu. So the menu would display the hierarchy of the document tree starting at a certain document. Any ideas how to achieve this? Thank you Ritchi

I added an example http://extensions.xwiki.org/xwiki/bin/view/Extension/Menu+Application#HHier… .

I tried to use the code. Therefore I went to "Wiki Home » App Within Minutes » Menu Home", added a new entry and replaced the default code with the code for the Hierarchy Panel. After clicking on "Save & View" I got the error "Nested scripts are not allowed"

Any ideas what is going on? Or did I something completely wrong?

I added a note before the examples http://extensions.xwiki.org/xwiki/bin/view/Extension/Menu+Application#HExam… saying that for the Menu Application you need to copy just the content of the menu macro from the examples (as the Menu Application takes care of putting {{menu ...}} before/after).
