Hello everyone.
I am having a problem moving our wiki data from xWiki 0.9.840 to the new 1.0 beta 2 wiki.
I am using Tomcat and PostgreSQL 8.1
I receive the following error when going to:

Clearly just pointing with the new XWiki to the old DB doesn't work. Thats basically
what I've done. Also for days now I've been trying different things and obviously
no luck. I am working on a dummy system to prepare the migration before doing the actual
thing. On my dummy system the old wiki works as the original.
Help would be appreciated!

Hi,
Could you try setting "xwiki.store.hibernate.updateschema=1" in
xwiki.cfg and start the server again (you should remove it afterwards).
Let us know if this works. If so I'll add it to the migration guide.

Well, I took MySQL and a clean version 0.9.840 of XWiki, made a few posts, etc. and it
successfully ported to 1.0b3 (Yeah, I got beta 3 today).

Did you have to do anything more than what is described on http://

"Migration from 0.9.x versions" section)? If so could you please list
what you have done so that we can improve the documentation?

Well, for MySQL it is fine but apparently my seniors want it to be in PostgreSQL.
For the MySQL one to work, I went to the "old" site and did want they done there
and it worked.
For postgres, however, it doesn't want to work.
I was hoping that Beta 3 would work but did exactly the same as Beta 2. I think the
problem lies with the JDBC connector or the hibernate thing. With my previous post you can
see the PSQLException.

Could you give me the URL or even better could you review the
instructions on the new and main site and let us know if anything is

The reason the second one was like that was because I received a "Rejected mail"
message, so I tried sending it again and now to my surprise it popped up here. I already
removed the 2nd one.

I didn't setup XWiki B2 with the old site instructions, I'm not sure why I said
that. I was doing something else too at that time, must have gotten mixed up :)

I forgot to mention that taking the new Beta version and just connecting it with
PostgreSQL does work! You just follow the instructions found on the old xwiki site
(http://old.xwiki.org/xwiki/bin/view/AdminGuide/PostGres) and don't forget to import
the XAR file. You don't have to import any db's to get it to work. It is only when
you try to import from the older xwiki that it gives troubles.

Where do you think we should start to look?
On which table can I "find" the missing column
"xwikidocum0_.xwd_title"? (I know it sounds weird ;) )
I mean the wiki must know of that column in order to go looking for it. Maybe if we know
to which table it belongs to we can work from there.
