Hi,
I got a personal request from Vincent Massol wanting me to update
everyone on the status of my documentation project for installing
Xwiki on non-mainstream systems - by that I mean Linux.
In writing the documents I had 3, for installing on FreeBSD w/Tomcat,
Solaris w/Gassfish, and a migration guide.
These are now complete!
There are some notes at the bottom of the Migration Guide; don't pay
any attention to these as they are obsolete with Nexenta merging with
OpenIndiana.....

Could you remove the custom styles, so that we have consistent style across
all documentation ? (I remember Caty mentioning this once already).

Not sure about this one, as far as I can see there is no generic
documentation about it to list it as specialized tutorial. Maybe

section listed in http://platform.xwiki.org/xwiki/bin/view/AdminGuide/
with some quick generic informations about it and list yours in a
Tutorials section like for the install one.
I would like these to go 'live' and be put onto the production site if

I refactored this one a bit to be more compliant with the style of the
other documents on xwiki.org.
One thing I noticed is that the steps are very detailed and go through
all the errors encountered on the way, which I think is a bit too
verbose. Do you think that you could list all the prerequisite steps in
order to avoid errors and frustration from other users?
What I mean by that is, for example, to list all the downloads needed to
successfully build the JDK, like:
tzupdater-1_3_31-2010i.zip
diablo-jdk-freebsd7.i386.1.6.0.07.02.tbz
diablo-caffe-freebsd7-amd64-1.6.0_07-b02.tar.bz2

Sorry I am a bit unresonsive at present, things are quite manic at
work right now. I will make every effort to sort this out soon - at
