The goal of XWiki is to hide access to database through the use of XClass/XObjects. So no,
there’s no Livetable with direct SQL access, only through XClass/Xobjects.
Now the Livetable is very customizable and you generate your own JSON,

If someone implements something there, I'd suggest something which is in the direction
of "SQL views" for a greater flexibility.
