I notice that the value of ID of the xwiki doc changed after I renamed the doc to another Space. At the moment, no. http://platform.xwiki.org/xwiki/bin/preview/DevGuide/DsXWikiDoc (bottom of the first paragraph) Each document has a tags object which has a GUID number that does stay the same and could be called with a database query, but this is far from an elegant solution. flyisland wrote:

Another solution would be to add a specific XWiki.UID object with a single property that you would populate with a unique identifier on rename. That's not elegant either though :-) Guillaume
