I am implementing XWiki as an internal knowlegde base for the IT
department I work for. The installation was straightforward and went
relatively smooth. We are using XWiki 1.0 Beta 3 / MySQL 5.0.27 /
Tomcat 5.5.17 on a Windows machine and after exploding the war file I
have imported all of xwiki-1.0-beta-3.xar.
However, when I edit a (new) page with the WYSIWYG editor and try to
insert an image, the (uploaded) image is displayed correctly in
TinyMCE but doesn't show when I save the page. The html source code
only shows an <br/> tag where the image was.
When I add an image in the Wiki editor, the tag '{image:example.jpg}'
is inserted and after changing the file name (in WYSIWYG or Wiki
editor) and saving the page, the image is properly displayed. But when
I try to edit and save the page, the image is again removed.
This behavior is a real show stopper for us. I searched the user email
list and JIRA but can't find anything about it. Does anyone recognize
this and knows a solution or workaround?

New subject: [xwiki-users] Image added in TinyMCE editor is removed
Hi Ronald,
I've seen this behavior when I did some demos of beta3, but in my next
demo it seemed to me it was not doing anymore.
I wonder if it only happens if there is no additional content after the
image.
Can you confirm this ?
In any case, you should report the bug in http://jira.xwiki.org with
exactly the content that you put.

Thanks for the quick response.
The location of the image in the text doesn't affect this behavior.
I've tried it between two paragraphs and at the end of the text. But
in both cases the image is removed.
I've created issue XWIKI-858 in JIRA. I hope the information is enough
to replicate the behavior. BTW I've used a fresh install, so no
settings (besides changing the superadmin password to import the XAR)
were changed.
