I did set mail setting for sending the mails as per http://platform.xwiki.org/xwiki/bin/view/AdminGuide/Configuration. Then i icreated the page with mailTestingUtility given at http://extensions.xwiki.org/xwiki/bin/view/Extension/Test+Mail. there is already an entry against Admin E-mail field. I am on xwiki 3.5.
