Dear All,
I have a quick question concerning the upgrade procedure for Xwiki on a
Solaris 5.10 SPARC/Oracle 10.2.0.3/Websphere technology stack.
We have cloned our standing Xwiki production environment (v1.7.14685)
and exported the Oracle database dump to a test machine for evaluating
newer versions of Xwiki (of the 2.* respectively 3.* series).
hibernate.cfg.xml, web.xml xwiki.cfg have been patched according to our
requirements (security, authentication method, hibernate etc).
At last, we have deployed the new Xwiki artifact (as an ear archive) to
Websphere.
At the moment, we are facing two major issues with the upgraded Xwiki
installation on our test server.
(1) For Xwiki <= 2.2.6 the resulting archive can be deployed to
Websphere and the application can in fact be accessed and used.
The main drawback is that the user management features are not
accessible anymore, i.e. we cannot create new groups or assign users to
Xwiki user groups anymore. Current group members aren't displayed
anymore. The members list is only displayed a blank text field.
When I try to display the list of group members in MS IE, the following
JavaScript error is displayed:
Line: 366
Char: 8
Error: 'ASSTable' is undefined
Code: 0
...
This problem seems to be a variant of the one described on
http://www.pubbs.net/200905/xwiki/106358-xwiki-users-no-users-and-groups
.html.
I tried to patch usersandgroups.js (both from stable releases and the
svn trunk) and also purged the browser cache but this didn't resolve our
problem.
I'd greatly appreciate if someone among the Xwiki users or developers
here was able to shed some light on this problem.
(2) When I try to deploy the current Xwiki version 3.0 (or even anything
version 2.2.6) of Xwiki, the following error is thrown
in Websphere:
"Component manager has not been initialized before lookup"
Judging from similar earlier error reports, this issue might be related
to Xwiki on Websphere. (And no, XWikiServletContextListener is already
contained in the web.xml configuration file.)
For specific details please refer to my previous error report on
http://www.mail-archive.com/users@xwiki.org/msg15230.html
Thanks in advance for your help regarding these two issues.
