Anyone tried these?
-- adjust the time on event calendar, so that the shaded 'today' matches local
time?
-- modify the upper right corner of the s5-xwiki presentation to show local logo?

Hum, maybe it's on the java code. But i never take a look.

You can do it by modifying the style of the presentation.
the scripts are in the directory templates of your xwiki installation
for exemple on XWiki.com :
http://www.xwiki.com/xwiki/templates/s5header.vm
In this file, you will find the links for the css to modify.
