Hi,
after the update the activity object in the Dashboard does not work anymore. I can see it,
but it shows no activities, even no posts.

This issue was fixed in the mean time
http://jira.xwiki.org/jira/browse/XE-922 and it's possible that it
causes your problem.
Now let's try to see what's happening:
1/ did you upgrade the entire .xar or only some pages?
2/ what page do you look at and see no activity? Main.WebHome or other?
3/ wdym you can see the activity object? you mean in the object editor?
on which page?

upgrade with the hints of the upgradeFAQ page
