Is there a way to use the xredirect for view actions?
What I'm trying to do is to load a page which performs some action then
redirects to another page. At the moment I'm using <head> / <meta> tags
to
perform the redirect but this causes the initial page to be displayed before
it is redirected.
Any ideas?

parameter which allows to redirect to any URL post any action.
You just need to append to the edit URL: "xredirect=" + URL
You can generate the URL using $doc.getURL("edit")

Hi All
I've added patch for SaveAction to allow redirect to "edit" rather
than "view" i.e. SaveEdit action. The patch file is attached to jira
for review / inclusion.
