I see this like a huge mess! Coming back to your statement: "the WYSIWYG editor searches only in the current wiki". In our current farm running XE/XEM 2.4.1, the WYSIWYG editor search doesn't show all current wiki pages. Raluca and Thibaut are working there. You could even check on your own that behaviour.
