Hi All,
We have completed milestone-1 of the eclipse xwiki plug-in
binary and source (eclipse project) are available via,
http://jira.xwiki.org/jira/browse/XWIKI-1360
Implemented features,
1. Login to XWiki
2. Selectively import spaces
3. Navigate through document hierarchy
A very good start! Excellent work :)
I've tried it and it worked fine. I just had one issue with the
connection form (see attached image). As you can see the fields are
too small in height.
I think the next step is to clean up your source code and to start
committing something clean in the XWiki SVN repository. I'm
proposing to commit in xwiki-sandbox/eclipse to start with for now.
Please note that you'll need to follow the conventions listed here:
http://www.xwiki.org/xwiki/bin/view/Community/DevelopmentPractices
http://www.xwiki.org/xwiki/bin/view/Community/CodeStyle
I much prefer that we integrate what you have in our code base now
and that you then work on it incrementally rather than you continue
implementing features but without following our coding standards,
etc as it would make it more complex to integrate later. The idea
is that once it's all nice and clean in xwiki-sandbox and once we
do a first release of it, we'll then send a vote to move it to
xwiki-extensions/ proper (thus as supported code) and we'll release
it on
xwiki.org.
We'll also need a Maven2 build. I can help you with that if you
have problems.
If you're ok with this, I'll send a vote to allow you write access
to the XWiki Sandbox area.
WDYT?
Thanks
