Hi,
I made a proposal on how a Technical Documentation Skin based on Flamingo
could look like, see
http://design.xwiki.org/xwiki/bin/view/Proposal/JaySkin
The idea behind Flavor Skins is that they just need to satisfy one major
use case, not everything XWiki can do, and when writing/reading/searching
documentation the focus is on content.
The proposal is not complete, since there are multiple views and
applications in Documentation Flavor that I didn't had time to make mockups
for them, but you get the main idea and the layout.
Nice documentation skin, I like it.
Now we’ll need to decide how to handle testing it and supporting more than one skin (I
really believe we need to do that anyway).
Question: it doesn’t look that different from the Flamingo skin so maybe there are ways to
configure a Flamingo skin and not create a new skin:
* Custom Color Theme
* Remove/hide UI parts of Flamingo (make it configurable in Flamingo, for example the
ability to hide the search bar at the top)
* The search could be a Search Panel on the left
* Collapsible left and right panels could be available in Flamingo too
* Hide the extradoc area at the bottom (make it a space-wide and wiki-wide config option)
Thanks
