Ok, thanks,
the reason I ask is that I was pleasantly surprised by the new wysiwyg
editor, it's sleek and easy to use with very intuitive menus for me
Macintoshien dans l'âme, while I suspect an evaluation of this has
been done for Windowers as well.
Good job, don't bring another layer of artificiality into the wyswyg
editor then!

Is SmartGWT actually used by the WYSWYG editor in
latest XWiki
releases?
I think only indirectly : it's the tree view (xwikiexplorer.js) that
is
based on smartGWT, and the WYSIWYG uses the it for browsing the wiki
in
dialogs.
