Hi devs,
What do you prefer:
(1) Release 3.4RC1 today or tomorrow (depending on how much time it
takes to fix the failing tests on CI and any blockers -- please list
them) and release 3.4 final this Thursday, 19 January.
(2) Release 3.4RC1 at the end of this week (Thursday/Friday) and
release 3.4 final at the start of the next week, 23 January.
I'm more for (2) because it would allow me to include some fixes to
the AppWithinMinutes that I couldn't do in 3.4M1 because I was busy
with fixing failing tests on CI, doing the actual release and writing
the release notes.
Thanks,
Marius

Blockers:
*
http://jira.xwiki.org/browse/XWIKI-7400: XWiki unusable on Tomcat
Critical:
*
http://jira.xwiki.org/browse/XWIKI-7227: Context isolation is too fragile
Also I would like to finish
http://jira.xwiki.org/browse/XWIKI-7384
(Provide UI to import and syncronise an external extension in the
repository). It's already possible to fully import a remote extension
for there is some stuff left for it to be really complete:
* the download button does not goes to a proper URL (but the REST
service works well)
* need to mark an imported extension as such to display an "update" button
* link extension authors with existing users in the wiki as much as possible
I'm not against (1) but I doubt we will be fully ready tomorrow so my
vote actually goes to as soon as possible whatever this is.
Saying this will not work so well because people will continue working on new stuff
instead of stopping new dev and work on stabilizing the release (fix failing tests and
blocking issues).
Ok here's what we can do:
* We don't commit any new stuff
* Stuff that are already partially committed get finished/fixed ASAP
* All devs start helping on fixing blocking bugs and failing tests
