One thing I forgot to mention is what I intend to work on:
* Managing JIRA and the 1.0 release
* Continue migrating the old.xwiki.org doc to the new xwiki.org site
* Continue to understand the code
* Continue on the m2 build and especially in the area of automated
functional tests.

Hi everyone,
I've checked JIRA and we need to make some decisions.
1) There are about 32 issues not assigned for B2 and RC1. These are
issues that need to be fixed for 1.0 final. Thus I suggest that we do a
Beta 3 before the RC1. The new dates would be:
1.0 Beta 2: 8 Jan 2007
1.0 Beta 3: 22 Jan 2007
1.0 RC1 : 5 Feb 2007
1.0 Final : 19 Feb 2007
If you're ok with this I'll do the following:
a) Rename RC1 in Beta 3
b) Create a new RC1 version
c) move all unassigned issues from beta 2 and beta 3 in RC1.
2) Please all review all the issues you can take and again please only
take bugs to fix rather than improvements/new features, except for the
Page Rename feature.
3) We need to know who's going to focus on what domain. I've identified
the following domains:
a) PDF bugs
b) WYSIWYG editor bugs
c) Page rename
d) User interface bugs
I think we can assign b) to Nam and d) to Sergiu and Marta. Now we need
to allocate a) and c). I don't know who's worked on the PDF stuff
before. Could committers come forward to take up a) and c)?
3) Sergiu and Marta, seeing the number of bugs we have I think you may
need to focus a bit more on bugs rather than improvements/new features.
IMO 1.0 is the same as 1.0 beta 1 but without the bugs. I think we
should keep the improvements for 1.1. We could even release 1.1 close
after 1.0 if we have important improvements to make. It would also be
good to have our user's feedback to decide on our priorities and we
need 1.0 out for this.
Please let me all know your views.

Reminder: We need everyone who are committing to implement issues for
1.0 B2 and RC1 to assign issues to themselves (or unassign themselves
if they cannot do it). I'd like this to be finalized by today end of
day.
I'll then do a full pass to see what's left and send a summary email.
It's probably there'll be lots of important issues not taken up so
we'll have to do some shuffling.
Make you select issues please choose with the following in mind:
1) no new features
2) as little as possible of improvements
3) bug fixes in priority
4) bug fixes raised in b1 in priority. There are several issues
reported by users on the list which we need to transform into jira
issues (the best is to ask users who are reporting them to do that in
order to help)
5) Don't put any issues in 1.0. We should have issues only in B2 and
RC1. We must leave 1.0 free for any bug found when RC1 is released.
