I`m thinking of the action the user is doing; so, how would it sound
better in the user's mind:
- Make a new blog post
or
- Post a new (blog entry / entry in the blog)
Think of the common expression "log entry". A Blog, as earlier stated is
a Web Log so, the obvious choice for me would be "blog entry".
I`m +1 for "blog entry" and the action of posting.

To summarize one *posts* *entries* in their blog and entries can be
*articles*, polls, bookmarks, etc.
post = the act of adding an entry
entry = the blog item being added
article = one type of blog entry content
Thus I propose to use "blog entry".
