Sounds good in general, but do you mean for the whole wiki or limited
to blog space, FAQ space etc. ?
IMO this depends on the app. If the app supports having pages located anywhere then whole
wiki. If the app supports only pages in a given space then at the space level.
What would be nice would to be able to lock the space in a template provider so that when
you click Add at the wiki level, the space field is greyed out and uneditable and shows
the default space value provided by the provider.

Hi devs,
On
http://dev.xwiki.org/xwiki/bin/view/Community/ApplicationDevelopmentBestPra… we
list some app dev best practices. I'm proposing to add one more bullet point which is
to add a template provider. The goal is to make it as easy as possible for end users to
add new items for the concerned app.
For example, the blog app would have a Blog Template to create new blog post directly
from the Add menu, the FAQ app would add a FAQ Template to do the same for the FAQ app,
etc.
WDYT?
Thanks
