XWiki.org has no legal entity and is not allowed to collect emails AFAIK. This is why we
voted in the governance that it’l be XWiki SAS collecting them on behalf of the community
and handling the emails. Regarding the email sending, I’m working on upgrading our page to
use a marketo email and there won’t any mail sent any more after that. So it makes sense

Recently the following thread - [xwiki-devs] [VOTE] Governance changes for
xwiki.org - introduced some governance changes for XORG.
I’m proposing to handle point A/ : Implementing a form on XORG (work
already started by Vincent and Caty) and creating an email thread to manage
the XWiki onboarding.
Here is what I’m proposing to do.
Use the XWiki SAS Marketing Automation Tool, Marketo
<http://www.marketo.com/>, to automate some email messages after an XWiki
Download.
According to our governance 2 kinds of messages can be pushed to the XWiki
download form DB members:
1. community related emails
2. business related emails
*This thread is about discussing the community-related emails.*
I would like to send automated emails on behalf of the XWiki development
team.
This is why I’d like your agreement on the flow below:
1. Send an email right after the download: « Get started with XWiki »
2. Wait for a week and then send a « Get the most out of your XWiki »
email
3. Wait for another week and then send a « What do you think about
XWiki? » email
Below is the content I would put in these emails:

Which email address will be used for sending the mails? If it's a generic
email address then I'm wondering if the mail should be signed by you (on
behalf of the XWiki dev team) or simply by the XWiki dev team. Do you know
