Just in case the opinion of a simple user could be taken into account:
option 2 is OK for me. For a regular user is enough to be aware of what
elements of a page she/he could interact with without receiving extra
information about the details of such an interaction.
Normally external links are identified by an icon, not by color. Having
links using almost the same color as the text is not a good idea, and
having links with two different colors in the same context is confusing.
I like contentLinks2.png best too. I agree with Sergiu on keeping the same
color for all links + having the number of comments / attachments is nice
too.
