Dots in document name

Hi, for some types of documents published on XWiki we would like to use naming convention where there is a major version included in a name of the document e.g. 'SomeSpace.Document-0.1'. The problem is that the XWiki then resolves it like this 'SomeSpace.Document-0/1' instead of expected 'SomeSpace/Document-0.1'. I would like to ask whether there is a specific reason why name of Web(Space) is substringed from the beginning to the last position of '.' and not the first position of '.'? Thank you, Jiri.
