For those who would be interested in helping mentor some projects,
please tell it here or contact me or jeremi.
Tell us on which part of XWiki you could help mentoring and how many
students you think you can follow.
The experience from last year has shown that mentoring needs to be
active. Waiting for the students to contact you does not work. It has to
be proactive. Rules need to be set about how to work and regular check
points are needed. Also it is important to quickly start coding since
the students have little knowledge about the code base. They learn it by
coding. Aside from that it's very dependent on the student's profile and
way of working. Some are rushing to code, others are planning for ages.
