I'd like that we remove code that we've moved to github from svn.xwiki.org as
it's misleading for people arriving there.
Secifically:

- enterprise
- manager
- platform
- rendering
- watch
- xeclipse
- xoffice

What will happen to someone who already checked out and do an update ?
It should at most fail, but it should not replace the whole stuff with a
read me !
So +1, if done appropriately and provide clue about the migration.

Just catched up on the busy mailinglist and figured out, that
all 2.x sources are gone from SVN. The celements project is
still based on xwiki enterprise 2.7.2 and I would like to checkout
some other sources.
Is there a way to find the 2.7.2 sources anywhere?
(could not find them on github)

If you cloned https://github.com/xwiki/xwiki-platform/ then you can do:
git fetch --tags
git tag -l "pattern"
For instance:
# git tag -l "*-2.7.2"
xwiki-core-2.7.2
Most of the 2.7.2 sources are in
https://github.com/xwiki/xwiki-platform/tree/xwiki-core-2.7.2 . What's
not there must be in a separate tag. For instance, if I look at
https://github.com/xwiki/xwiki-enterprise/blob/xwiki-enterprise-2.7.2/pom.x…
I see that it depends on blog 1.26, which you can find in
https://github.com/xwiki/xwiki-platform/tree/xwiki-application-blog-1.26
.

Yea github UI is a pain to find a tag among the 1158 tags but it's there ;)
