Hello,
I am impressed with XWiki Watch. I have not found a product like it,
and it fulfills some useful business use cases. I am curious how easy
it is for me to push data into XWiki from an external Java process?
Does your API permit me to push a set of records (and their tags) into
XWiki Watch?
I am curious how custom is XWiki watch? Presumably XWiki Watch
records are similarly stored and accessed as regular XWiki
pages/posts?

Well, XWiki Watch takes RSS feeds as its input. Thus, to the extent that you
can get the data from your Java process available in a RSS format, you will
be able to push them to XWiki Watch. As for the tags, you may need to modify
XWiki Watch (or the feed plugin) a bit so that it becomes able to read them
and save them into wiki documents.

Indeed, every item in the input RSS feed is turned into a wiki page that can
be accessed through the regular wiki interface.

Yes since XWatch uses RSS as input but also turns the data in XWiki
structured pages, you have the choice to either make your content look
like RSS or directly create the content in the wiki in the right format.
This is actually quite easy using XML or using the XWiki apis (REST or
XML RPC)

One particular thing is that it uses custom mapping for faster access.
So, although they look like any other XWiki object, they have slightly
improved storage, for speed. This is the only "custom" thing from other
applications.
