http://gs.statcounter.com/browser-market-share/desktop/ ), for
desktops, we
have:
- 8.21% IE
- 4.3% Edge
Usage example for August 2017:
- 7.1% for IE11
- 2.26% for Edge 15
- 1.37% for Edge 14
- 0.2% for Edge 13
---
So my votes are:
A. Dropping support for IE10
+1
B. Dropping support for IE11
-0, because of bigger usage compared to Microsoft Edge. Still, I don't
think we have the man-power to support tests on both browsers types.
C. Adding support for Microsoft Edge
+1, because this is the latest supported browser for Windows
We also have limited manpower and we need to limit the # of versions we
support.
However because of the large marketshare of IE11it wouldn’t be
good to drop its support FTM IMO.
So I think we should try to support both Edge + IE11 and see how complex
it is. If
too complex we can think of dropping IE11 or delaying support for
Edge.
So, I’m:
A +1
B -1 for now
C +1
Thanks

Thanks,
Caty
