Hi all,
Today I worked with Mohamed to release an extension (TotemApplication) to the extension
manager
and he wrote an excellent tutorial for uploading a xar file so that is is accessible from
the
extension manager.

I'd like to propose we move this to a more official location than /Drafts/ since at
this point
it's the only end-to-end tutorial on contributing XAR extensions.

Hi Caleb,
Great initiative from you and great work from Mohamed! We can always use
more documentation and this one was missing.
+1 for promoting it from drafts into extensions.xwiki.org itself as a
tutorial/help or, better yet, on the same line, in the Repository
Application [1] itself either just as documentation/tutorial on the e.x.o
page or even as an XWiki document within the application which can be
linked to inside the application (on the homepage or something), since all
of that applies to any instance of the Repository Application, not just
e.x.o. (in this case we might need to factor out the instructions on
creating a user).

P.S.: My "ODD" reflex drove me to perform some cleanup and rewording here
and there on the document to give it a bit of polishing :)

(only there for now I think)
note: it talks a lot about XAR extensions but there is nothing really
specific to XAR in it (except for the fact that you usually do real
releases for jars)
