Hi,
I have been building xwiki directly from source for past some time and
everything is going fine.
Very recently I tried to build xwiki-platform-web using the maven script
under pom.xml for the first time.
This got failed when building the standard module under web.
Here is the console output of the script:
Please tell me where I am going wrong.

Strange error.
2 things:
1) make sure you use the maven version certified working with XWiki.
See the building page
2) run again with -e to see what the problem is

Hi,
Please find the relevant stack trace.
Also I am using the Maven version: 2.0.8 and not the one suggested at
building page.
Till now all the maven builds were happening correctly except for this one.
So I used the default one.
Let me know if this error (from stack trace) is because of the maven
version, then I update the snapshot one.
If I am doing anything else wrong please let me know that too.
all I ran was mvn install under \xwiki\xwiki-platform-web\standard.

This is definitely not a xwiki issue...
If you want to build xwiki you MUST use the version we recommend.

building page.
Till now all the maven builds were happening correctly except for
this one.
So I used the default one.
Let me know if this error (from stack trace) is because of the maven
version, then I update the snapshot one.
If I am doing anything else wrong please let me know that too.
all I ran was mvn install under \xwiki\xwiki-platform-web\standard.
This is definitely not a xwiki issue...
If you want to build xwiki you MUST use the version we recommend.

This has nothing to do with xwiki AFAICS. If I were you I'd reinstall
the maven version we recommend + clean your local repository + verify

Hi,
One has to run the script as:
mvn install -Dmaven.test.skip=true
surefire plugin fails if there are not test cases.
you have fixed this in pom of gwt using:
<!-- TODO: Disable unit tests temporarily as the only test there is

Also just one question I did not want to start another thread for this ..
Every time I run mvn builds it feteches latest snapshot of xwiki jars from
the xwiki maven servers.
I want to prevent this and always use the snapshot that I have created, how
can I set this.
is mvn -o install the right option.
But I guess this would not get any updated jars.
I still may want to get the updated jars of external libs we use but not of
xwiki snapshots.
Anyway to configure this specifically.
