Hello Sachin,
Hi,
If I build the plugins, web and and wiki of the product and then
1. make the plugin available on the lib folder
2. skin under the skins directory
3. import the xar
Then will I be able to view the workspace product?
Yes, this is the way to install workspaces over an existing XE
From the list of features it seems cooler than the current enterprise
wiki's
Blog, Main and Photo spaces.
Also since name is same for Main and XWiki space of the space of the two
products would it cause any problem while importing the workspace xar?
That is a pertinent question. For the moment, I would not recommend to
install workspaces over an existing wiki. Indeed, workspaces overrides
several of the standard wiki documents from XE, and you will loose the
original ones when importing if you do not uncheck them. Also, you should
be aware that now workspaces works correctly only with its own provided
skin (but it is our plan to make it work with XE skins). All those issues
leads us to distribute workspaces mainly as standalone product (war,
distributions), rather than an application one would install on top of an
existing XE.
Anyway, if you are willing to experiment workspaces, would it be the
standalone version, or on top of XE; we would be really keen on having
some feedback from you.
Regards,
Jerome.
Thanks
Sachin
