Cool.
I agree that it would be a good idea to add it the plan except that I think the RM is
already tired after a release :) So maybe it's nice if someone else can do the upgrade
(unless the RM is ok to do it ofc ;)).
Does not have to be all in one row (it's OK if it's done a few days
after the release) but IMO if we want it to be done for each release
it makes it by definition part of the release and the release manager
would be responsible for it (whether he/she do it or not is another
matter).
Actually for me the order should be reversed:
* Start by installing RC1 on
myxwiki.org to verify stability
* Then after a few days release final if ok
That would really be using
myxwiki.org as it's supposed to be used.
Maybe that now we're using EM/DW it's going to be easy enough to do that quickly?
What you suggest is to install a SNAPSHOT which is not very easy or
natural.
Nope. I'm proposing to install the RC1 version, not a SNAPSHOT.
IMO it's OK to put last released version on
myxwiki.org, this
is validating a released version on a prod server.
After the fact is too late since if there are problems it means re-releasing a bug fix
release quickly. Of course it's better than not doing anything but less nice than
pushing RC1 releases on
myxwiki.org.
