What's the benefit of this release if devs are postponed to the next

Devs are not postponed. They have been done for 1.6M2. It's only the
blog improvements that are not in and that's normal since Sergiu has
been working on other things with Stephane Lauriere AFAIK.
We still need to release 1.6M2 and continue to respect our delivery
schedule, i.e. 1.6RC1 for next Monday (we might need to postpone it by
2 days since this release has been postponed).
If the question is "why don't we do only a single release every 3
months" then the answer is:
- allow users to test the released milestones and provide feedback and
thus stabilize
- provide a good release rythm so that users can see the project is
alive and dynamic
-making a release forces us to be "clean" and to finish tasks that
have been started as much as possible and not leave them in a 80%
finished state
Thanks
