I remember 2 years ago I tried to run (or compile? I'm not that sure) XWiki with
OpenJDK, the default java in ubuntu. It wasn't working out of the box. I also
remember guiding other XWiki beginners later to install the sun jdk (on ubuntu)
because the default OpenJDK didn't do it.

I'm building and testing XE using OpenJDK.
java -version
java version "1.6.0_0"
OpenJDK Runtime Environment (IcedTea6 1.4.1) (6b14-1.4.1-0ubuntu11)
OpenJDK 64-Bit Server VM (build 14.0-b08, mixed mode)
