Hi, Since XWiki 8.0 we now have a way to define in which namespace an extensions work. See “xwiki.extension.namespaces” in http://extensions.xwiki.org/xwiki/bin/view/Extension/XWiki+Commons+-+Extens… I’m proposing to add that apps should use this as a best practice in http://dev.xwiki.org/xwiki/bin/view/Community/ApplicationDevelopmentBestPra… WDYT? The idea is to use it when an extension will only work in a specific namespace (usually when the extension should only be installed on the main wiki). Thanks -Vincent

Set xwiki.extension.namespaces in the pom when an extension will only work when installed on the root namespace. IMO that’s the main use case and I don’t really see another one. Do you? Thanks -Vincent
