Hi devs,
I'd like to propose Andreas Jonsson as a XWiki Core committer. Andreas has been
around for a long time now and has tackled complex topics such as Rights rewriting and he
deserves our admiration for that! ;)
He's been regularly submitting patches and I'd love to see Andreas contribute
even more and would like to encourage him to do so.
Here's his CV:

His contributions to XWiki are:
* The Swedish translation
* Parser work (he's a committer on Wikimodel)
* An alternative right service implementation
I say: Let him commit his own patches!
Here's my +1
+1 as well, he's been providing patches for a while on a lot of domains,
from core Java to JavaScript and CSS, and they usually show good
debugging skills.
Still, I'd like to ask Andreas not to commit his implementation of the
rights management. I've looked at it during the 3.1 release while
investigating this topic, and while it is a major improvement over what
we currently have, it still has some limitations, and I'd like to avoid
having to deprecate a new API shortly. (My bad for not providing this
feedback on time...)
I don't intend to rush out and do things hastily. I realize that there
should be a preparation process before the right service implementation
is commited. I originally wrote it as a drop-in replacement of the
current one, but I think that it would be beneficial if all dependencies
on legacy apis could be removed before replacing the current right
service. Also, we should discuss if any additional requirements should
be added to the new implementation. For instance, it would be nice if
it was possible to efficiently filter database searches on access rights.
Best Regards,
Andreas
