Hi devs,
As we can all realize we've slipped a bit for the 3.3 release.
The main reason were/are:
1. We were having problem stabilizing XE 3.3 and we couldn't upgrade
xwiki.org. This has been fixed yesterday
2. We need to make 3.3 work on Oracle. Several users have complained that
it's not working fine on Oracle. Sergiu I've seen a commit for you on this.
Is it all ok now? Sorin?
The issues I have reported have been fixed by Sergiu, but AFAIK there are
also other issues by others in the mailing lists.
3. We need to finalize the Extension Manager
configuration of
extensions.xwiki.org so that it can be used. This needs more testing and
we need to make extensions on
extensions.xwiki.org visible from the EM UI
4. Ensure the new XEM works fine. Sorin had issues using it. Is it ok now?
I have tested XEM last week and I have found several issues, all of them
being reported or discussed on the IRC channel. XEM looks decent, we should
be able to release
5. Fix failing tests in our test suite:
http://ci.xwiki.org/. We fixed UI
tests yesterday but there are still 2 modules failing
Thus here's the new date proposal for 3.3:
3.3 RC1: 5 Dec
3.3 Final: 12 Dec
The original date was 28th of Nov for 3.3 final so we're slipping by 2
weeks.
Ok for everyone?
Thanks
-Vincent
