Hi,
Have you tried setting the log levels in
webapps/xwiki/WEB-INF/classes/log4j.properties to off or fatal? That
should do the trick.
I don't know about the date for 1.0b1, but I guess it should be quite
soon and Ludovic mentioned he is working on it.
