I think it's actually never been used beyond the first project for which it
was written
We should look at other plugins. It would also be nice to move working
plugins to components with a plugin wrapper for backwards compatibility

Hi devs,
I'd like to propose to remove the old userdirectory plugin
(com.xpn.xwiki.plugin.userdirectory.*) from oldcore and move it to
xwiki-contrib/retired
I've checked and it's not used anywhere in our code and since it's not
been touched for a very long time it's probably not even working.
Also it has some concept of group invitation but we've implemented that in
the invitation module.
